Job description

Job Summary:
Saviance is seeking a Senior Performance Tester with extensive experience in performance testing for enterprise applications and infrastructure. The role involves providing test consulting, technical leadership, and executing performance test cases while collaborating with development teams to enhance application scalability and performance.
Responsibilities:
• Provide performance test consulting and test leadership services for enterprise applications and infrastructure including distributed Internet technologies (J2EE, web services, etc.), client/server applications, mainframe environments and infrastructure components.
• Designing, Developing and Executing Performance Test Cases and Scripts through analysis of Product Specifications and Performance Test Requirements
• Providing expertise on Performance Testing Capabilities, usage of Load Runner and other Load Testing / Monitoring Tools
• Monitoring Test Results and Analyze Performance Metrics from Windows, Unix, Web Server, Test Tools and the application
• Identifying bottlenecks and tuning points.
• Partnering close with Development to Characterize and improve application scalability and performance
• Ability to analyze / interpret technical data and ability to identify / resolve system bottlenecks.
• Ability to identify potential limitations in software architectures including expert troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Expert understanding of throughput, latency, memory and CPU utilization.
• Must have excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to write clear and concise technical presentations.
• Capable of working independently with a strong commitment to quality.
• Team work and a collaborative approach. Ability to work independently yet be a Team Player.
• Ability to manage and mentor a team of performance engineers in addition to sound technical capability.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 7+ years' of experience in multiple IT areas that include analysis, design, evaluation, and development
• 3 to 5 years' experience in Performance characterization
• Provide performance test consulting and test leadership services for enterprise applications and infrastructure
• Designing, Developing and Executing Performance Test Cases and Scripts through analysis of Product Specifications and Performance Test Requirements
• Providing expertise on Performance Testing Capabilities, usage of Load Runner and other Load Testing / Monitoring Tools
• Monitoring Test Results and Analyze Performance Metrics from Windows, Unix, Web Server, Test Tools and the application
• Identifying bottlenecks and tuning points
• Partnering close with Development to Characterize and improve application scalability and performance

• Performance testing and monitoring tools knowledge (Micro Focus Load runner, Dynatrace, Perfmon, Team quest)
• Database concepts and familiarity with Oracle/DB2
• Broad application development experience with Java JEE, Application Servers (Tomcat), Frameworks, SOA or similar technologies
• Relational database (Oracle, UNIX DB2, Sybase) on Solaris, AIX or Linux platforms
• Knowledge of Performance Testing Tools (Client Load Runner, Client Performance Center) and Monitoring and Diagnostics tools (Dynatrace - Java, C/C++, jprobe, jprofiler, others)
