Mechanical Project Manager (Experienced)At Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG), we are always seeking talented individuals to join our growing team. When you join VMG, you become part of a collaborative team that values professionalism, accountability, and career growth.Position OverviewVMG is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in MEP construction and commercial building projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working for a General Contractor or managing large-scale projects involving multiple trades, with a focus on mechanical systems, MEP coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and client relations.This role will oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring successful execution while maintaining schedule, budget, quality, and safety standards. Regular travel to project sites will be required.Key ResponsibilitiesManage commercial construction projects with a strong focus on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.Lead MEP coordination efforts, including design reviews, clash detection, constructability reviews, and schedule integration.Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules, procurement plans, and resource allocation.Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.Coordinate field operations with superintendents, foremen, and trade partners to ensure project milestones are achieved.Conduct site visits and progress meetings to monitor project performance and resolve issues proactively.Manage project risks, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure overall project profitability.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and applicable building codes.Support project closeout activities, including commissioning, punch lists, turnover documentation, and warranty management.Qualifications5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial construction, MEP contracting, or with a General Contractor.Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and MEP systems.Experience managing projects ranging from $2M to $50M+ preferred.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction management software.Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.Ability to travel to project sites as needed.No sponsorship is available for this position.Why Join VMG?Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Opportunity to work on high-profile commercial construction projects.Career advancement opportunities within a rapidly growing organization.Collaborative, team-oriented culture with strong leadership support.If you are an experienced construction Project Manager with a strong MEP background and a passion for delivering successful projects, we encourage you to apply today.Vertical Mechanical Group participates in a drug testing program.
