Green Rabbit is a leading e-commerce grocery distributor specializing in cold chain solutions delivered directly to your door. We are currently seeking an Inventory Manager to support our growing operations at our facility in Whitestown, Indiana. Green Rabbit is part of VISTAR, a subsidiary of Performance Food Group Company.
The person who fills this role will manage the team that performs daily receiving, cycle counting and replenishment operations at our Whitestown facility. A daily objective will be to ensure staff are working safely and efficiently to meet customer needs and company standards. This is a hands-on management position that will lead by example and delegate to the team in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial mindset. Solving problems before they happen and practicing a "find a way" mentality.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversees team of inventory, receiving and replenishment employees.
  • Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, usage and stock levels.
  • Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
  • Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
  • Manages schedules of employees, deliveries and shipments to optimize operations.
  • Communicates with inventory employees to meet business goals and address personnel issues.
  • Develops business relationships with suppliers and clients.
  • Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
  • Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
  • Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and personnel issues to upper management.
  • Manages the recruitment and training of new inventory employees.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
