About the Role
The Data Analyst - Operations amp; Performance serves as a strategic analytics partner to the Operations organization, helping leaders better understand performance, uncover opportunities for improvement, and make data-driven decisions. This role is responsible for identifying measurement gaps, developing meaningful KPIs, and proactively designing dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions that improve operational effectiveness. You will act as a trusted advisor to Operations leaders, helping transform data into actionable insights that drive efficiency, quality, and organizational performance.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify gaps in operational measurement and recommend analytics solutions that improve visibility into performance and outcomes.
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into analytical frameworks and reporting solutions that provide actionable insights.
  • Build and maintain self-service reporting capabilities that empower operational stakeholders to access and leverage data independently.
  • Analyze operational performance trends, uncover root causes, and provide recommendations that improve efficiency, quality, customer experience, and business results.
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, reports, and visualizations that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics that align with business objectives and support ongoing performance management.
  • Conduct data validation, quality assurance, and monitoring activities to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytics products.
  • Ensure data governance, security, and reporting best practices are consistently applied.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required.
  • 2-4 years’ experience of data analytics, business intelligence, or operational analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with business and operational leaders to understand challenges, identify measurement gaps, and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Experience defining KPIs, operational scorecards, performance metrics, and reporting frameworks that drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business questions into actionable analytical insights and scalable reporting solutions. Experience serving as a proactive analytics consultant by identifying opportunities to improve operational visibility and performance.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Power BI (or equivalent) experience. Healthcare, payer, provider, or claims analytics experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and root-cause analysis skills. Excellent listening, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to uncover business needs that may not be explicitly defined.
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts and insights effectively to non-technical audiences and executive stakeholders.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency with the ability to analyze, transform, and validate complex datasets; experience with Python (PySpark) preferred.
  • Experience developing interactive dashboards, scorecards, and data visualizations using Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Systems/Tools: MS Office Suite advance, MS SQL Server Management Studio, Databricks, and MS PowerBI are required. Azure DevOps and Tableau experience a plus.
