How much do performance based jobs pay per year?

As of Aug 3, 2026, the average yearly pay for performance based in Iowa is $64,104.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $47,900.00 and $78,000.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

How does a performance-based role typically measure and reward success?

In a performance-based role, success is generally measured using clearly defined metrics such as sales targets, client acquisition rates, or project completion outcomes. Employees are often evaluated at regular intervals, and compensation or bonuses are directly tied to achieving or exceeding these goals. Applicants should expect a results-driven environment where high performance is recognized with tangible rewards, but may also come with increased pressure to consistently meet objectives. Collaboration with other teams is common, as achieving targets may require cross-functional support and communication. It's important for candidates to be comfortable with accountability and to seek feedback regularly to ensure they are on track.

What is a performance-based job?

A performance-based job is one where compensation and advancement are primarily determined by an employee's results and productivity rather than fixed hours or salary. These roles often include sales, commission-based positions, or roles with targets that measure success, requiring skills in goal setting and self-motivation.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a performance-based role?

To thrive as a Performance-Based Marketing Specialist, you need expertise in digital marketing strategies, data analysis, and a strong understanding of ROI-driven campaigns, typically supported by a degree in marketing or related fields. Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, and affiliate tracking platforms is crucial. Strong analytical thinking, adaptability, and effective communication set top performers apart in this role. These skills ensure that campaigns are optimized for measurable results and that marketing investments directly contribute to business growth.

Physical Therapist – Orthopedics/Pelvic Floor

Fortitude & Freedom Performance Therapy

Full-Time (Part-Time with Growth Track Available)

We’re hiring a Physical Therapist who wants to:

  • Work with active adults, gym athletes, and youth athletes
  • Build real relationships with patients (60-min appointments)
  • Be involved in the local fitness and sports community
  • Help grow a practice, not just work in one

This is a clinical + growth role.

About Us

At Fortitude & Freedom Performance Therapy, we provide:

  • 1-on-1, performance-based physical therapy
  • Fitness-forward treatment approach
  • Care focused on returning people to strength, sport, and high-level function
  • A relationship-driven, hybrid in-nework/out-of-network model

Our patients include:

  • Active adults who want to stay strong and pain-free
  • Gym athletes (CrossFit, powerlifters, runners, strength training, fitness-focused clients)
  • Youth athletes returning to sport

We are built for results, not volume.

What You’ll Do:

Clinical Care

  • Help patients return to lifting, sport, and full activity
  • Build strong relationships that lead to retention and referrals

Growth & Community (Key Part of the Role)

  • Attend events, competitions, and community opportunities
  • Help generate new patient growth through connection and presence

Communication

  • Confidently explain your plan of care and our value
  • Educate patients and community members
  • Ask for referrals and reviews naturally

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience or interest in pelvic floor/pelvic health
  • (especially within active populations)

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Passion for fitness, performance, and athletics
  • Self-starter mentality (you take initiative)
  • Comfortable being visible in the community
  • Desire to grow clinically and professionally

Not a Fit If You:

  • Prefer a passive, task-based role
  • Avoid networking or community involvement
  • Want strict structure and constant direction
  • Are uncomfortable discussing value, pricing, or referrals

What Success Looks Like

  • You build and grow your own caseload
  • You become a trusted name in the local fitness community
  • Your relationships consistently generate referrals
  • You play a key role in the growth of the clinic

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance-based bonus structure (growth, retention, engagement)
  • Flexible schedule options
  • Mentorship and professional development
  • Opportunity for long-term growth and leadership

Growth Opportunity

This role can evolve into:

  • Leadership within the clinic
  • Development of specialty services (performance, pelvic health, youth sports, etc.)
  • A key role in scaling the business

How to Apply

Apply with:

  • A short paragraph on why this role fits you
  • An example of how you’ve built or grown something (patients, relationships, business, etc.)
  • Resume
  • References
  • (Optional) A short video introduction

Final Thought

We’re building something intentional:

  • High-level care
  • Strong relationships
  • Real impact in our community
