What You'll Do
Instruction & Student Achievement
  • Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction using Performance Academies' curriculum and instructional resources.
  • Plan and implement lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of students through differentiation and data-informed instruction.
  • Monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments and adjust instruction to promote academic growth.
  • Create meaningful learning experiences that foster critical thinking, inquiry, and student engagement.
  • Maintain high academic expectations while supporting students in reaching ambitious learning goals.
  • Promote regular student attendance through engaging instruction and positive communication with students and families.
Classroom Culture
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive.
  • Implement school-wide behavior expectations, character education, and positive behavior supports consistently.
  • Build strong relationships with students while supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students by following all school policies and child protection procedures.
Family Engagement
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, instructional coaches, and school leaders to improve student outcomes.
  • Participate in parent conferences, intervention meetings, IEP/IAT meetings, and other student support processes.
  • Contribute to school-wide events, enrollment efforts, and community engagement activities.
Professional Responsibilities
  • Participate in ongoing professional learning and school-based meetings.
  • Maintain accurate student records, classroom documentation, and instructional materials.
  • Uphold the mission, values, policies, and professional expectations of Performance Academies.
  • Perform other duties that support the success of students and the school community.
