Work Location: 12606 West Houston Center Blvd Suite 330 Houston, TX 77082

Work Hours: (Full-Time) Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm (May vary with 8:00am-4:30pm shift) Rotating Saturday shift 1-2 per month required.

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here is what you will need:

  • Texas Medical Board License - TMB
  • Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
  • Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
  • Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist:

  • Provide services and support for the following areas:
    • Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
    • Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
    • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
    • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
    • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
    • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
