Job Description

Located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, QSL Transport specializes in the hauling of heavy equipment, over dimensional loads and wind turbines throughout United States and Canada. We are a leading provider of integrated logistics solutions to world-class businesses in the rail, energy and manufacturing industries. QSL Transport is committed to continuous improvement, with a focus on performance and operational excellence. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Safely transport oversize, overweight, and specialized freight throughout the United States and Canada.
    • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment remains safe and compliant.
    • Secure cargo using chains, binders, straps, tarps, and other approved load securement methods.
    • Follow permit requirements, approved routes, escort instructions, and all applicable transportation regulations.
    • Maintain accurate logs, inspection reports, and required transportation documentation.
    • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, escorts, and regulatory agencies.
    • Represent the company professionally while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

    • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for oversize heavy haul transportation.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in oversized heavy haul transportation.
    • Experience with permits, escorts, route planning, and specialized transportation requirements.
    • Strong safety mindset with a clean driving record and commitment to regulatory compliance.
    • Availability to perform long-haul specialized transportation assignments lasting approximately 3 to 4 weeks at a time.
    • Ability to work independently, solve problems, and adapt to changing operational needs.
    • Pride in your work, a desire to continuously expand your expertise, and a commitment to being part of a successful team.
        Qualifications

        • Hourly Rate: $30.84/hour (base rate), complemented with premium pay and per diem allowance

        WORK SCHEDULE:

        • We promote work-life balance by alternating long-haul assignments with week-long breaks.
        • Long-haul assignments normally involve a work schedule of 60 to 70 work hours per week – with a minimum 10 hours guaranteed per day
