Job DescriptionEngineering analysis, design development and generation of design output
documents including but not limited to: Process Flow; Piping and
Instrumentation Diagrams; System Descriptions; Mechanical Equipment Lists;
Mechanical Equipment Sizing; Pipe and Valve Specifications; Failure Analysis;
Accident Analysis; Finite Element Analysis; ASME Code Design and Evaluation;
Pipe Stress Analysis; Material Handling Design; Fire Protection Design; HVAC
Design; and Vendor Document Reviews.
Incorporate advanced technical practices to develop solutions for a variety of
complex features such as complicated technical requirements, application of
new or special materials or processes and difficult coordination or oversight
requirements
RequirementsPh.D. degree and about 10 years' experience. OR A MS degree and 12 years' experience. OR A BS degree and approximately 15 years' experience. BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
15 years design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
10 years of experience working at one or more DOE facilities.
Candidate must demonstrate experience creating and revising documentation in one or more of the following areas: Process Flow; Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams; System Descriptions; Mechanical Equipment Lists; Mechanical Equipment Sizing; Pipe and Valve Specifications; Failure Analysis; Accident Analysis; Finite Element Analysis; ASME Code Design and Evaluation; Pipe Stress Analysis; Material Handling Design; Fire Protection Design; HVAC Design; and Vendor Document Reviews.
PreferredCandidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years are preferred
Previous SRS Design Engineering experience and working knowledge of SRNS design processes and procedures.
