Job description

Our client has an opening for a Mammography Tech Per Diem position at our POPC Penninsula Outpatient Patient Center in Burlingame, CA. They are offering $5k sign on bonus. M-F 8-4:30 pm shifts for vacation coverage and sick calls. Principal Mammo Per Diem pay $97.66 hr, Sr. Mammo Tech Per Diem pay $89.70 hr.
The Radiology Department is a specialty medical service that offers a wide range of imaging techniques to diagnose and treat a broad range of medical conditions.
They offer the full spectrum of techniques, using the most advanced equipment. Combined with Bone Densitometry, CT, Interventional, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound, and X-ray. We perform more than 500,000 procedures annually. In fact, a number of radiology advancements and applications were developed here.
Our licensed Mammography Technologist performs screening and diagnostic breast imaging and procedures. This technologist must be able to produce ACR quality images in both diagnostic and screening exams. This technologist is able to interact with clinicians and other departments to coordinate patient care.
This technologist is able to evolve with radiology information system (RIS) and PACS systems. This technologist must participate in performance improvement activities in the department. Maintains appropriate quality control records and participates in routine equipment testing and maintenance. Additionally, this Mammography Technologist must be willing to train and interact with students and new hires when necessary.
  • Graduate of a formal radiology technology-training program in an AMA approved school.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to rotate shifts and cover other UCSF locations.
  • Must be willing to assist at any of the UCSF Medical Center Locations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Mammography experience for Sr level. More than 5 years of Mammography Exp for Prin. level

  • BLS Basic Life Support (CPR) Certification
  • Requires proof of mammography - specific training of at least 40 documented hours, if certified after April 27, 1999.
  • Requires proof of having performed at least 200 mammography exams in the last 24 months (rolling 24-month calendar)
  • Requires certificates of at least 15 CEU's in Mammography in the last 36-month period (rolling 36 month calendar).
  • Requires proof of MQSA approved 8 hours each of Digital and 3D Tomosynthesis training.
