Opportunity Overview
We have an immediate opening for a Patient Services Coordinator (Float) Per Diem to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Houston, Texas - Medical Center with rotations to Memorial City, Katy, Clear Lake, Spring Woodlands and Beaumont, Texas offices.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM; rotating weekend and holidays, with rotating weekend coverage every 6 weekends

How You'll Contribute

In this role, the Patient Services Coordinator will:
  • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal financial and insurance information Optimize patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by assessing minimum patient needs and scheduling accordingly
  • Schedule appointments Address customer/patient issues and insure effective short-term and long-term resolution
  • Provide timely feedback to the practice regarding service failures or patient concerns
  • Consult with patients regarding their benefits, coverage and financial options
  • Greet patients and visitors to the office and providing high level of customer service Required to work occasional weekends and holiday

What You'll Bring
We're looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experience-individuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.
Qualifications and Skills Include:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • 2+ years previous experience in an administrative role; medical office experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical software, terminology and procedures preferred
  • Knowledge of HIPAA Regulations preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to build and facilitate good working relationships with staff at all levels of organization
  • Demonstrated ability with exercising sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and within deadlines
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good research skills
  • Tech savvy
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn at all times
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to use billing systems
