Overview
The IC&E Coordinator will be responsible for executing the overall workflow and leading all aspects of work across Bakken, Eastern, Central, Denbury, and Permian assets to support creation and management of:
  • Cause & Effect documentation
  • Single Line Drawings
  • Powerline Mapping
  • Power Relay Setting documentation

In the Permian Basin, this role will also function as the program controller, supporting progress tracking and program reporting while coordinating with existing Permian IC&E teams executing these programs.
This position will serve as the primary interface with asset automation and electrical teams to coordinate workflow execution, contractor activities, deliverable quality, and operational alignment. The role is based onsite at the ExxonMobil Houston Campus in Spring, TX.
Scope / Main Functions
  • Lead and coordinate IC&E workflow execution across multiple operating assets
  • Ensure successful completion of deliverables aligned with ExxonMobil standards
  • Coordinate with operations, automation teams, electricians, engineering contractors, Quest, and asset teams
  • Troubleshoot workflow issues and resolve operational or engineering bottlenecks
  • Manage contractor scheduling, site coordination, and deliverable quality oversight
  • Support program controls including cost tracking, reporting, and schedule stewardship
  • Interface directly with engineering and operations leadership teams
  • Ensure integration of deliverables into Management of Change and Documentation Management processes

Key Responsibilities
Workflow Oversight
  • Oversee complete workflow execution to ensure successful and timely completion of deliverables
  • Coordinate cross-functional engagement between operations, automation, engineering, and contractors
  • Resolve workflow conflicts, technical issues, and execution delays

Cost, Schedule & Progress Tracking
  • Provide monthly cost tracking updates and forecasting
  • Deliver site-level unit cost analysis and reporting
  • Maintain monthly schedule updates and outlooks
  • Generate progress reports including site status and deliverable tracking

Schedule Coordination
  • Maintain workflow progress ahead of mechanical execution schedules
  • Coordinate workflow timing to ensure Cause & Effect documentation availability
  • Support establishment of Single Line Drawings and Powerline Mapping aligned with field execution

Conditions of Satisfaction (CoS) Approval
  • Review and approve Conditions of Satisfaction prior to workflow progression
  • Verify drawing quality and work product standards
  • Coordinate corrective actions for identified deviations

Site Pack Development
  • Compile and organize all required information necessary to support deliverable development before workflow initiation

Contractor Oversight
  • Coordinate contractor access and permitting requirements with Operations
  • Direct contractor site activities and scheduling
  • Oversee contractor deliverable quality and cost stewardship
  • Approve contractor-related costs and progress execution

Engineering & Operations Interface
  • Establish and maintain relationships with asset engineering and operations teams
  • Coordinate issue resolution and workflow alignment
  • Ensure integration into:
    • OIMS 7.1 - Management of Change
    • OIMS 4.1 - Documentation Management

Qualifications
  • Strong background in Industrial Controls, Electrical Systems, Automation, or Instrumentation environments
  • Experience supporting engineering workflows, electrical documentation, or facility projects
  • Familiarity with:
    • Cause & Effect documentation
    • Single Line Drawings
    • Powerline Mapping
    • Power Relay Settings
  • Experience coordinating contractors, schedules, and multi-site workflows
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage reporting, progress tracking, and cost stewardship
  • Familiarity with Management of Change and documentation control processes preferred
  • Oil & Gas operator experience strongly preferred

Required and Preferred Experience
  • Previous ExxonMobil or major operator experience
  • Experience supporting upstream production or facility operations
  • Exposure to automation, electrical reliability, or instrumentation programs
  • Understanding of OIMS processes and compliance workflows
  • Experience working with engineering contractors and field operations teams
  • 5+ years of experience required
  • PLC Programming experience
  • Cause & Effect Drawing Creation experience
  • Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Equipment experience
  • Single Line Drawing Creation experience
  • Engineering Management and/or Project Management experience
