Job description

Per Diem Registered Nurse

Southwestern Ambulatory Surgery Center has an immediate need for a per diem Registered Nurse! At Southwestern Ambulatory Surgery Center, we believe health and care are inseparable. We focus on offering a high quality, service oriented environment for your surgical procedure. Our facility is accredited by The Joint Commission.

The Registered Nurse provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The Registered Nurse provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The ideal candidate will work in all areas: PreOp, PACU and cross train to the Operating Room.

Qualifications
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Must have at least 2-5 years of experience in PreOp/PACU or Critical Care.
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
  • Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
  • Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
