Our RN House Supervisor represents the Hospital and Nursing Administration in their absence and supports the mission, vision, values and philosophy of the Department of Nursing. The RN House Supervisor promotes, advocates for and supports the nursing staff's primary commitment to protect the health, safety and rights of the individual, family and community. What you will do in this role:

  • You will be responsible for facilitating patient transfer in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • You will ensure standards of performance are maintained as they relate to each individual department, with patient safety as the primary goal.
  • You will display an appropriate level of management acumen in effective conflict resolution involving staff, physicians or customers.
  • You will exercise independent judgment within the context of interdisciplinary patient care.
  • You will have the general clinical responsibility for patient care departments for a specific shift.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required - BSN is highly preferred
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider is preferred
  • Prior Acute Care Hospital experience is required
