Job description

Per diem/on call, varies as scheduled.

Job Summary:

The Resource Nurse helps ensure the delivery of safe patient care by responding to the fluctuating patient care needs across the hospital. Assures appropriate documentation is completed on all patients, assures appropriate staffing levels according to patient mix and other pertinent factors; understands and adheres to laws, rules, and regulations relating to patient care; serves as liaison between nursing staff and physicians as necessary; is able to react proactively to change and performs related duties as assigned. Displays understanding of performance improvement measures as set forth by unit managers and participates in data collection efforts to support those improvements.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Three years’ experience as an Acute Care Nurse within the last 2 years with at least one year of which included charge or senior level responsibilities. Completes a skills checklist and demonstrates competency in at least three nursing departments within the first 90 days. 

Preferred: RN with CCS, RHIT or RHIA certification preferred. 

Licensure & Certifications Requirements:

Current WA State RN licensure. Must have BLS upon date of hire or within 30 days.

Pay Range: $43.09-$79.71
