As an Occupational Therapist Assistant with Caring Hand Home Health Solutions, you will work alongside a Registered Occupational Therapist to deliver hands-on care that helps people rebuild the daily skills they need to live fullyโ€”and youโ€™ll see the impact of your work every single visit.

Please note that this role is per diem with a rate of $80 - $90 per visit.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist, and track each patientโ€™s progress along the way
  • Teach patients new skills or help them relearn daily activities lost to illness or injury
  • Assess patientsโ€™ functional abilities and home environments to identify hazards and opportunities for greater independence
  • Keep clear, timely clinical records and flag any changes in a patientโ€™s condition to the supervising therapist
  • Coach families and caregivers on how to support recovery at home
  • Coordinate with the wider care team through case conferences, in-services, and ongoing communication
  • Meet with your supervising Occupational Therapist at least every 30 days to review care and outcomes

Requirements

  • Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
  • Current national AOTA certification
  • Active state license, per state licensure law
  • At least one year of clinical experience as a COTA
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and a reliable, insured vehicle for travel to patient homes
