Position Overview

The Delmont Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our exceptional team of mental health professionals. Work Environment

This position is fully remote, utilizing state-of-the-art telehealth technology to connect with clients effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health, emotional status, and psychosocial needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans and therapeutic strategies based on each client’s unique needs and goals.
• Provide evidence-based interventions such as individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address a variety of mental health concerns.
• Monitor and document clients' progress, making timely adjustments to treatment plans as their needs evolve.
• Offer crisis intervention services and emotional support during critical moments, ensuring client safety and well-being.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to all legal and ethical requirements in client documentation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and psychiatric nurses, to ensure that clients receive comprehensive care.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health treatments through ongoing professional development, seminars, and literature.
• Participate in regular supervision meetings to enhance clinical skills and receive constructive feedback.
• Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines and relevant laws governing mental health practice, ensuring the highest standards of care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve at Delmont vary widely in terms of age, background, and mental health challenges. Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field is required.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R) is mandatory.
• Demonstrated clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, equipped to manage diverse mental health issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities for effective client engagement.
• Empathetic and compassionate nature, with a steadfast dedication to client welfare and recovery.
• Able to work independently while valuing collaboration within a team dynamic.
• Thorough knowledge of ethical guidelines and mental health laws impacting practice.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of professional experience in a mental health counseling role is preferred, demonstrating effectively tailored therapeutic approaches.
• Experience working in telehealth settings is an advantage, as it promotes adaptability in technology-mediated client interactions.

Compensation and Benefits
