• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments, including psychosocial evaluations and diagnostic interviews, to determine client needs and formulate effective treatment strategies.
• Collaborate with clients to develop customized treatment plans that consider their personal goals, cultural backgrounds, and unique circumstances, ensuring a holistic approach to their mental health care.
• Utilize evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions.
• Offer immediate crisis intervention services that involve active coordination with other healthcare professionals to safeguard the well-being of clients in acute distress.
• Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation in line with clinic policies and state regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and effective coping strategies, fostering self-advocacy and empowerment.
• Collaborate with a diverse healthcare team encompassing psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and case managers to ensure a seamless continuum of care for clients.
• Regularly assess treatment outcomes to evaluate effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on client feedback and outcome data.
• Engage in continuous professional development by staying informed about the latest research, best practices, and trends in mental health care.
• Uphold ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and privacy of all patient information at all times.

The client base at Primo is diverse, encompassing individuals from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. You will work with clients facing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. The emphasis on trauma-informed care means you will be equipped to address the needs of clients who have experienced significant challenges in their lives.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia is mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team for integrated patient care.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience in providing mental health counseling to a varied patient population.
• Experience in a community health setting and working with an interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed care practices and culturally sensitive counseling techniques.

• Compensation for this position ranges from $70,000 to $84,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and geographic considerations.
