• Collaborate closely with the Medical Director and Medical Team Administrator to design and implement tailored mental health treatment plans for patients.
• Facilitate mental health in-service training sessions for staff, including medical, psychiatric, and security personnel, ensuring comprehensive care strategies are well understood.
• Proactively intervene in mental health emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
• Attend commitment hearings as mandated, facilitating advocacy for patient needs and legal considerations.
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans, establishing realistic goals that cater to each patient's unique situation.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient interactions, safeguarding the confidentiality of medical records as per HIPAA regulations.
• Verify historical patient mental health records and psychotropic medication history to inform treatment decisions.
• Prepare regular and specialized reports that track patient progress and treatment outcomes for review by the clinical team.
• Collaborate with nursing and mental health staff for effective post-release referrals, ensuring continuity of care.
