• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for clients to determine their individual mental health needs.
• Develop personalized therapeutic strategies tailored to meet the unique circumstances of each individual, family, or group.
• Deliver direct therapeutic services using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care, participate in case reviews, and contribute insights for client well-being.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training programs to stay informed about the latest developments in the field of mental health.

Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals and families facing an array of mental health challenges. Many clients served by Behavioral Mental Health & Wellness PC experience conditions such as anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and trauma. Our team is dedicated to providing care to underserved populations, ensuring that all clients receive the support they need.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
• A solid understanding of legal and ethical standards within mental health practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with a diverse clientele.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) software and related technologies is essential for effective documentation and communication.

• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience, preferably within a community health or clinical setting.
• Specialization or experience in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use treatment is highly valued.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, contributing positively to client care initiatives.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 per year, commensurate with your skills and experience.
