Overview
Interventional Radiology Tech travel assignment in Kansas City, KS, starting 08/23/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $2,928โ€“$3,025. Shift is four 10-hour days (Monโ€“Fri with a rotating day off). Working in a hospital-based interventional radiology lab with a high patient volume. The role involves direct support for IR procedures, including scrubbing and imaging, within a fast-paced seven-room lab handling a wide range of cases.

Responsibilities
- Assist interventional radiology procedures as a scrub tech, preparing sterile fields and assisting the IR team during peripheral and neurovascular interventions
- Operate angiography imaging equipment (Siemens Artis systems) and document imaging data for each case
- Position patients, manage access sites, and maintain sterile technique and radiation safety throughout procedures
- Support room turnover, equipment readiness, and supply management to sustain a fast-paced workflow (approximately 60โ€“65 cases per day in a multi-room lab)
- Communicate with IR physicians, nurses, and staff to coordinate case flow and patient care before, during, and after procedures
- May float to related IR areas as needed to cover staffing requirements and ensure continuity of care
Requirements
- ARRT Radiography certification (must be in hand) and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts licensure (can apply after offer; licensure may start pending)
- AHA BLS certification
- 2 years of interventional radiology experience; scrub experience required; 3 years preferred, with large hospital experience and peripheral/neurovascular case exposure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, siloed IR lab environment; on-call as needed
- Orientation participation as described (Monโ€“Tue onboarding; nursing orientation Wedโ€“Fri bi-weekly)
