Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Per Diem Float Pool Registered Nurse, where you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality, compassionate patient care across multiple Medical, Surgical, and Telemetry units. This role offers flexibility and variety, allowing you to utilize your skills in different clinical settings while supporting our hospital's staffing needs. We are seeking dedicated professionals who are adaptable, clinically proficient, and committed to delivering evidence-based nursing care.


Key Responsibilities:

- Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based bedside nursing care across various units including Medical, Surgical, and Telemetry.

- Adapt to different clinical environments and patient populations, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.

- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.

- Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in the electronic medical record.

Requirements

Per diem Float Pool RNs provide bedside care across multiple Medical/Surgical/Telemetry units and are expected to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing practice. Assignments may vary daily, and candidates must be comfortable floating within their scope of competency.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Med-Surg/Telemetry setting
  • Current New York State RN license (required at time of submission)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and teamwork skills
Floating Requirement:
  • Agency and per diem nurses may be floated to other units within their demonstrated competencies, based on hospital staffing needs.
