Columbia Endoscopy Surgery Center, a leading surgical facility dedicated to providing high-quality care and service-oriented environment, is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. As a PACU RN you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth surgical operations.

PACU Registered Nurse at Columbia Endoscopy Surgery Centerl

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition to ensure safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. This role includes:

  • Providing comprehensive patient care to individuals emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
  • Performing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for both patients and families in preparation for discharge.
  • Assisting physicians as needed with tasks in the procedure rooms, including conscious sedation and utilizing sterile techniques as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state of Ohio
  • BLS and ACLS required (PALS if required by the center)
  • 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs
