Job Description:
We are looking for compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) with a Washington State RN license to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Per Diem Pediatric RN, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to pediatric patients who are ventilator and tracheostomy dependent and require G tube care. Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
Pediatric Care: Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients with ventilators, tracheostomies, and G tubes.
Ventilator and Tracheostomy Management: Administer and monitor ventilator support, tracheostomy care, and ensure proper suctioning techniques.
G Tube Care: Administer G tube feedings and medications and monitor G tube sites for infection or complications.
Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients and develop individualized care plans.
Expect that you will provide your schedule availability on a continuing basis.
Leadership and Supervision: During your shift, you are responsible for leading and supervising certified nursing assistants (CNAs)/ Patient Care Technicians (PCT), and other non-RN healthcare professionals that provide service to our patients (OT, PT, School Teacher). You are responsible for providing guidance, support, and direction to the team during your shift and implementing Nursing Evolutions policies and procedures, communicate and escalating issues and recommended solutions with RN Supervisor and Clinical Director.
Delegation: assign tasks and responsibilities to CNA/PCT based on their qualifications and the needs of the patients. Effective delegation helps ensure that patient care is delivered efficiently and safely.
Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accurate dosages, and monitoring for adverse reactions.
Monitoring: Continuously monitor and document pediatric patient vital signs, respiratory status, and responses to treatments.
Family Support: Provide education and support to patients' families, including training on specialized care techniques and addressing their questions and concerns.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Provides nursing interventions safely and competently
Assures quality of care through development, implementation and evaluation of professional nursing standards and participation in multidisciplinary quality assurance activities
Attend Nursing orientation, 50% of the RN meetings and 100 % attendance on training and education
Provide records of annual training, required certifications and licenses upon renewal, proof of yearly flu shot and complete TB screening
Understand and adhere to Nursing Evolutions policies and procedures
Effective communication and proper shift handover to the clinical team following your shift

Qualifications:
Associate of Science in Nursing or higher
Valid Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
WA state health care worker requirements
Minimum of 3 years Pediatric nursing experience with ventilator and tracheostomy patients.
Proficiency in G tube care and medication administration.
BLS/CPR certification.
Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
Flexibility to work per diem shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Minimum shifts per scheduling period (4 weeks scheduling):
Minimum 2-12-hour on shifts/ month per scheduling period. Can schedule more than 2 shifts.
Sharing availability of hours on a continuous basis for every scheduling period.
Holiday: One Holiday per calendar year if available
