Strong organizational skills and attention to detail also help ensure compliance and high-quality patient care, even when working varying schedules.

What is a Per Diem OASIS RN?

A Per Diem OASIS RN is a registered nurse who works on an as-needed basis, primarily in home health care, and is responsible for completing OASIS (Outcome and Assessment Information Set) assessments. These assessments are federally mandated for Medicare-certified home health agencies to measure patient outcomes and determine reimbursement. Per Diem OASIS RNs enjoy flexible schedules and typically focus on patient assessment, care planning, and documentation rather than ongoing care.
