Role Overview

The Modular Assembler is responsible for constructing high quality volumetric modular buildings within a manufacturing facility environment. This role performs a variety of assembly, installation, material handling, and finishing tasks throughout the production process. Team members work collaboratively to build residential, commercial, or multifamily modules while maintaining safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble modular building components according to production drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Perform general construction activities including framing, flooring, wall assembly, roofing, insulation, drywall installation, trim work, and finish carpentry
  • Assist with the installation of doors, windows, cabinetry, fixtures, and interior finishes
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely and effectively
  • Measure, cut, and fit materials accurately to meet quality standards
  • Move and stage materials, tools, and equipment throughout the production facility
  • Identify and report quality concerns, material shortages, and safety hazards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and housekeeping standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve safety, quality, and productivity
  • Work in multiple departments and production stations as assigned
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements
  • Participate in daily team meetings, training activities, and production planning discussions
  • Meet established production schedules while maintaining quality workmanship
  • Keep track of hours worked on specific tasks and projects via digital and manual methods


Required Qualifications

  • Utilize/read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and related equipment in accordance with company safety standards
  • Ability to understand and follow written, verbal and visual instructions
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications (not required)

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
  • Previous construction, manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred but not required
  • Residential or commercial construction experience
  • Experience with framing, drywall, flooring, electrical, plumbing, roofing, or finish work
  • Forklift, aerial lift, or material handling equipment experience
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly and more with assistance
  • Ability to work in varying indoor & outdoor conditions including heat, cold, dust, and noise
  • Ability to safely operate within an active manufacturing and construction environment
  • Ability to safely climb ladders and stairs repeatedly throughout the day and work off elevated platforms

Work Environment

This position works on the factory floor of a volumetric modular manufacturing facility. Employees work within production teams to construct complete building modules that progress through various assembly stations. The environment combines traditional construction activities with manufacturing processes focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

  • Hours of Operations: M-F 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with some overtime required extending the day to 4:30 PM and occasional Saturdays.
  • Breaks: 10 min @ 9:00 AM, Lunch 30 min @ 11:00 AM, 10 min @ 1:30 PM
  • Location: Berwick, PA

The Pay Range for this position is $18.00 - 20.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications. We also offer the following benefits:
