Church Officer (Swahili Projects Due Diligence)

JESUS CHRIST MARANATHA GLOBAL MINISTRIES INC is seeking applicants for Church Officer (Swahili Projects Due Diligence) role.


Job duties include:

  • Assisting in evaluating proposals for programs and projects in Swahili-speaking regions to ensure they align with Jesus Christ Maranatha Global Ministries’ mission and values, and to assess their financial viability and ethical implications;

  • Implementing and monitoring internal controls for the organization and its churches to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse;

  • Helping the organization identify areas to save on costs and improve financial performance;

  • Assisting in developing and monitoring budgets and financial forecasts for the organization and its churches;

  • Evaluating potential vendors and suppliers to ensure they are reputable and reliable;

  • Preparing reports on financial management and assessments, risk assessments, and due diligence findings;

  • Conducting thorough background checks on contractors to ensure they meet legal and ethical standards.


Requirements:

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree in Ecclesial Administration and Management; Business Administration; Church Financial Management; Accounting; Audit; Church Management; Commerce; Management; Finance; Project Management; or similar field;

  • Requires 36 months experience in a financial management or accounting or audit or similar role in either a religious or secular nonprofit or for-profit organization.

  • Language skills required: English and Swahili.


Job Location: 12 Annetta Rd, Ashland, MA 01721


Travel details: Two times a year travel to the Christian ministries' established as well as potential projects in Swahili-speaking countries in Africa such as Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi and the Democratic Republic of Congo.


The position is currently being offered at the prevailing wage of $ 95,638.00 per year.
