As a Journeyman Electrician, you'll work on high-impact projects, enjoy extensive travel benefits, overtime opportunities, company-provided tools and vehicle, and a clear path for career advancement within a growing organization that's been successful for nearly 60 years.Responsibilities:Perform skilled electrical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.Perform installations and replacements of backup generator systems.Determine modifications required when obstructions are met while installing electrical systems.Develops strong line of communication with Electrical Manager/Master Electrician and within all departments utilizing electrical service.Ability to work from wiring diagrams, schematics, sketches, blueprints, and/or verbal instructions.Proficient in the use of standard electrician's tools and measuring/testing instruments.Perform other duties and assignments as necessary.Requirements:Active Journeyman Electrician license in Minnesota.Strong knowledge of DC power equipment, specifically in telecommunications, switchgear & control, and UPS industries.Strong knowledge of generators, transfer switches, and distribution equipment.Proactively stays up to date on safety training, compliance, and knowledge of HAZ MAT and DOT requirements.Adheres to company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook and Safety Policy.Travel Expectations:Get the chance to work on diverse projects across the region without extensive long-haul travel. Most job sites are within a 6-hour driving radius.Travel can be up to 75%, but you'll typically be home every weekend.All travel expenses are covered, including hotel accommodations, per diem, company vehicle, and fuel card.Ideal for electricians who enjoy being in the field, seeing new locations, and earning plenty of overtime while maintaining work-life balance.Other Required Qualifications:Ability to work at various heights.Ability to lift items greater than 25lbs (and up to 150 lbs.) repetitively on a regular basis.Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.Must pass a physical exam, background check and pre-employment drug screening. At HM Cragg, we invest in your growth with training, tuition assistance, and development opportunities, including the potential for advancement within the company.
