Job description

What you'll be doing: 

The Clinical Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy to patients who are recovering from an eating disorder, including educating patients and families on meal plans and nutritional needs. 

Essential duties and responsibilities:  

  • Provides medical nutrition therapy to patients with eating disorders by assessing nutritional status, establishing a meal plan necessary to improve nutritional status and evaluating patient's response to the plan 
  • Provides individualized nutrition counseling and education to patients and/or families to establish and achieve nutritional goals 
  • Completes documentation of interventions, individual and family sessions and meal plans 
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team to coordinate treatment plans. Attends team meetings and team rounds to serve as the nutrition expert resource  
  • Facilitates experiential groups, which may include restaurant outings, food preparation and cooking groups (as applicable), as well as assists in providing meal and snack support and supervision 

Clinical Dietitian I must haves: 

  • Bachelor's degree (Required), Graduate degree (Preferred) 
  • A valid US driver license (Required) 
  • Current RD/RDN credential with the Commission on Dietetic Registration Certification/Registration required in all states that offer it. National certification, Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred (Required) 
  • Current state dietitian/nutritionist license, as required by state law (Required) 
  • 0-2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian (Required) 

Clinical Dietitian II must haves:  

  • Bachelor's degree (Required), Graduate degree (Preferred) 
  • A valid US driver license (Required) 
  • Current RD/RDN credential with the Commission on Dietetic Registration Certification/Registration required in all states that offer it. National certification, Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred (Required) 
  • Current state dietitian/nutritionist license, as required by state law (Required) 
  • 2 or more years of experience as an RD, with a minimum of 2 years working with eating disorders.  National certification, Registered Dietitian (RD) (Required) 

Sr. Clinical Dietitian III must haves:  

  • Bachelor's degree (Required), Graduate degree in nutrition, dietetics or related field (Preferred) 
  • A valid US driver license (Required) 
  • Current RD/RDN credential with the Commission on Dietetic Registration Certification/Registration required in all states that offer it. National certification, Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred (Required) 
  • Current state dietitian/nutritionist license, as required by state law (Required) 
  • 5 or more years of experience as an RD working with eating disorders. National certification, Registered Dietitian (RD) (Required) 
  • CEDRD, CDE, CSSD, or CNSC (Preferred)
