Job description

Compass Health Center is seeking an Adult Psychiatrist to join our Eating Disorders Program serving patients across our Chicago and Virtual treatment programs. 

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Adult Psychiatrist who is passionate about providing exceptional care to individuals with eating disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. In this role, you will lead interdisciplinary treatment teams within a nationally recognized Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), helping patients achieve meaningful recovery through evidence-based, patient-centered care.

What You'll Do 

  • Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing treatment for adults participating in our PHP and IOP programs.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including evaluation of eating disorders, co-occurring mood, anxiety, trauma-related, obsessive-compulsive, and substance use disorders.
  • Lead multidisciplinary treatment teams consisting of therapists, dietitians, nurses, family therapists, and other psychiatric providers.
  • Collaborate with treatment team members to develop and adjust individualized treatment plans that support medical and psychiatric stabilization, nutritional rehabilitation, and long-term recovery.
  • Participate in family and care coordination efforts to support successful transitions across levels of care.
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance regarding psychiatric treatment recommendations and risk assessment.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and payer requirements.
  • Support patient care across both Chicago-based and virtual programming as clinically indicated. 

Who You Are 

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry.
  • Licensed in Illinois or eligible to obtain Illinois medical licensure.
  • Preferred minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DEA registration and applicable controlled substance prescribing privileges.
  • Experience or strong interest in the treatment of eating disorders, including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, ARFID, and Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorders.
  • Skilled in the evaluation and treatment of complex psychiatric conditions and co-occurring disorders.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Passion for working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary treatment environment.
