Proper medical clearance and assessment of stability are essential to ensure safety while diving.

What is the 120 rule in diving?

The 120 rule in diving, relevant for Per Diem Divers and other underwater professionals, states that a diver's total no-decompression limit (NDL) time should not exceed 120 minutes when combined with surface intervals, ensuring safety during multiple dives. It helps divers manage nitrogen absorption and reduce the risk of decompression sickness, especially when performing repetitive dives or working in challenging environments. Proper planning, including monitoring dive times and surface intervals, is essential for safe diving operations.
