Per Diem Botox Injector information

What is a per diem Botox injector?

A Per Diem Botox Injector is a qualified medical professional, such as a nurse, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant, who administers Botox injections on an as-needed or flexible basis rather than as a full-time staff member. Per diem injectors may work at medical spas, dermatology clinics, or plastic surgery practices to provide cosmetic treatments that reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. This role typically involves performing patient consultations, assessing candidacy, and safely injecting Botox to achieve desired cosmetic outcomes. Per diem positions offer flexibility in scheduling and are ideal for those seeking supplemental income or varied work environments.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a per diem Botox injector?

To excel as a Per Diem Botox Injector, you need a valid medical or nursing license, specialized training in cosmetic injections, and a deep understanding of facial anatomy. Familiarity with injection techniques, safety protocols, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems is typically required. Outstanding interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and patient education abilities distinguish top performers in this field. These competencies ensure safe, effective treatments and high patient satisfaction in a competitive aesthetic industry.

What are the typical scheduling and workload expectations for a per diem Botox injector?

As a Per Diem Botox Injector, you can expect flexible scheduling, often based on client demand and your availability. Workloads can vary from week to week, with some periods being busier due to promotions or seasonal trends. Per diem roles usually do not guarantee a set number of hours, but they offer the advantage of choosing shifts that fit your personal schedule. You may work independently or as part of a medical aesthetics team, collaborating with office staff and supervising physicians to ensure client safety and satisfaction.

Job description

At Tend, we’re doing dental differently — replacing the obstacles of traditional dental care with hospitality, comprehensive diagnostics, and moments of Surprise and Delight. For many of our members, we’re the first practice where they’ve felt genuinely at ease about their oral health. That trust is an extraordinary opportunity, and a real responsibility.

Our PRN Associate Dentists are an essential part of how we deliver on that promise. When you pick up shifts at Tend, you step into a modern, fully equipped studio with a warm, experienced team already in place. The schedule is booked, the support is ready, and the clinical infrastructure is built for you to do your best work. You’ll treat a full scope of operative, restorative, and cosmetic procedures — diagnosing the whole person and helping members leave informed, respected, and in control of their care.

This is a PRN (per diem) role. You’ll pick up shifts as needed and are paid a day rate of $900–$1,000. No minimum hours, no lead responsibilities — just exceptional clinical care when and where we need you.

What You’ll Do Clinical Excellence & Scope of Practice
  • Deliver a full spectrum of high‑quality clinical services – including restorative care such as inlays/onlays, crowns, veneers, endodontics, extractions, implants, and cosmetic dentistry – within tend’s modern, digitally enabled studio environment
  • Treat a dynamic mix of cases that go beyond basic dentistry, with opportunities to perform comprehensive, esthetic, and function‑driven care
  • Lead comprehensive exams that diagnose the whole person — every member leaves aware of their dental conditions and potential solutions in a way that is clear, confident, and efficient
  • Develop thoughtful, member‑centered treatment plans grounded in legitimate clinical findings and honest risk assessment, driving both oral health outcomes and case acceptance
  • Diagnose and treat TMJ‑related conditions, including the delivery of therapeutic Botox as part of a comprehensive care approach
Clear Aligner & Sleep Therapy
  • Identify and address malocclusion, occlusal wear, fracture lines, and sleep‑disordered breathing early – using our tested frameworks to educate members compassionately and help them avoid more invasive outcomes
  • Drive adoption and growth of clear aligner treatment, from diagnosis through case planning, bonding, and follow‑up care
  • Evaluate and treat members for sleep‑disordered breathing, incorporating sleep medicine solutions into treatment planning where appropriate
  • Build proficiency in aligner case selection, staging, and execution, contributing to a high‑performing aligner program
Productivity, Flow & Patient Experience
  • Manage a dynamic, productive schedule – balancing operative procedures, hygiene checks, aligner starts, and same‑day treatment opportunities
  • Partner with studio teams to build efficient and productive shifts — reviewing schedules in advance, engaging in daily huddles, and offering same‑day care when possible
  • Drive production through proactive diagnosis, completion of full treatment plans, and efficient use of chair time — without compromising quality of care
  • Deliver a hospitality‑driven member experience grounded in Personalized Care, Empowering Communication, and Human Compassion
  • Hold the line on our Priority Framework: safety first, then outstanding member experience, then efficiency — never trading one for another
Team Collaboration
  • Partner closely with dental assistants, hygienists, and studio leadership to deliver coordinated, high‑quality care
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure alignment in treatment planning, execution, and patient experienceEngage in ongoing clinical calibration and peer learning to maintain and expand scope
Who You Are

You embody our Tend values and bring the competencies that make exceptional clinical care possible. At tend, these values aren’t just words on a wall — they’re how we hire, lead, and collaborate. Every team member is expected to show up with a mindset grounded in our mission, vision, and values.

Tend Values

Tend to Others: You put members and teammates first — delivering outstanding care and a genuinely human experience, even in a fast‑paced per diem environment. You show up ready, engaged, and present for the people in your chair.

Be Brave Enough to Lead: You act with integrity and take clinical ownership. As a PRN provider, you step into new studios with confidence, make sound decisions independently, and hold yourself to the same standard you’d expect from anyone on your team.

Savor the Ride: You bring positive energy into every shift — celebrating the work, staying resilient through the unexpected, and making the team better just by being there.

Embrace Our Differences: You welcome diverse perspectives, communicate with respect, and meet every member where they are — adapting your approach to make each person feel seen and heard.

Rooted in Growth: You’re always learning — whether that’s refining your technique, deepening your knowledge of aligner therapy, or absorbing a new workflow in a studio you’ve never worked in before.

Role-Based Competencies

Earn and Give Trust: You earn the confidence of members and teammates through honesty, transparency, and consistent follow‑through — especially in a setting where you may be meeting people for the first time.

Lead with Clinical Judgment: You make sound clinical decisions grounded in data, evidence, and patient needs. In a per diem context, that means being decisive and self‑directed without sacrificing thoroughness or quality.

Adapt and Execute: You can read a room, integrate quickly into a new studio environment, and deliver excellent care regardless of whether it’s your first or fiftieth shift with a given team.

What You Have Required
  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
  • Current, active dental license in the state you’re applying for
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Active DEA registration
  • Minimum 2 years of experience (post‑residency) in private practice, DSO, or similar setting
  • Comfort with modern technology and a willingness to adopt digital workflows
  • Availability to work PRN shifts
Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform the essential job duties listed, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods while performing clinical procedures
  • Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to handle dental instruments and perform precise procedures
  • Adequate vision (with or without correction) to read charts, interpret radiographs, and operate clinical equipment
  • Ability to bend, reach, and maintain ergonomic positioning for patient care
  • Occasional lifting or movement of equipment and supplies up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, team members, and other healthcare professionals in person and via technology

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.

What We Offer

We believe taking care of people starts with taking care of our own. For PRN team members, here’s how we’ve got you covered:

  • Competitive day rate: $900–$1,000 per shift
  • Access to tend’s clinical infrastructure, technology, and studio support team
  • Opportunity to work across tend markets and build clinical breadth
  • A collaborative, values‑driven environment where per diem providers are genuinely valued members of the team
Pay Range

$900–$1,000 USD
