Job Description
Summary/objective
Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi and Keurig Dr Pepper bottler founded in Birmingham, AL more than 123 years ago. Buffalo Rock manages the best beverage portfolio in the country, which includes several beloved global and regional brands. The Production Support is a key member of the Production team. This position is an entry level position essential for learning how to operate machinery and keeping all manufacturing areas clean.
Essential functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
  • Required to keep all floor areas in and outside plant area clean utilizing broom and hoses.
  • Required to pick up trash from plant grounds including parking lot.
  • Must clean floor drains and screens as needed.
  • Required to empty and clean recycling hopper and return to assigned area.
  • Required to sort items for recycling, placing in appropriate compactor/crusher.
  • Required to empty trashcans throughout plant.
  • Required to keep lunchroom and restrooms cleaned and supplied.
  • Required to move pallets of drinks as needed.
  • Required to train on production lines to learn various machines/jobs in order to advance as well as to relieve line employees for breaks and absenteeism.
  • Requires long periods of walking and standing.
  • Run floor scrubber as needed to clean floors.
  • Paint catwalks, machinery, walls, etc. as needed.
  • May be required to work varying shifts, weekends and/or overtime if needed to meet customer demand.
  • FOOD SAFETY: Required to follow the Good Manufacturing Program (GMPs) as listed in Code of Federal Regulations CFR 21 section 110. Requires participation in various Food Safety related training that Buffalo Rock utilizes. Required to report potential issues related to Food Safety.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Must exhibit a high level of ethical and moral conduct while at work or in attendance of any off-site function during work hours or after work hours while representing the Buffalo Rock Company.
  • Responsible for continuous self-improvement through the knowledge and use of all Buffalo Rock provided training, either web-based, in-house, or any other provided method. Must successfully complete assigned training curriculum, including but not limited to online and/or facilitated training.
  • Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the Company from possible damage, theft, or other liabilities.
