Schedule: 3rd Shift - 6:30 pm - 7:00 am (12 Hour Shift), 2-2-3 Schedule
Position Summary
To serve our internal and external customers by quickly, safely and accurately building and loading pallets of product onto trucks to be delivered to our Enhanced customers.
Essential Functions
  • Build pallets of product accurately and safely by identifying proper location, package and quantity of product requested on build sheets.
  • Adheres to all company policies, standards and procedures (e.g. OSHA and safety requirements, AIB and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local laws); wear all required personal equipment.
  • Utilizes forklift to load pallets into truck bay; ensures that each pallet is loaded safely into the correct truck bay as requested on build sheets.
  • Moves and parks trucks to maintain efficient and timely loading process.
  • Communicate with co-workers, supervisor and management team verbally regarding the status of work activities (e.g. loading process) and other information, supervisor regarding questions or issues with daily assignment.
  • Trains employees to perform Forklift Operator job duties in accordance with established standards.
  • Assign work to other Forklift Operators under the direction of the Warehouse Management Team.
  • Works with Forklift Operators, Load Auditors and Warehouse Management Team to resolve problems, errors and mis-picks.
  • Completes equipment safety checklists, build sheet forms, and other required paperwork according to established standards.
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as needed to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required.
  • Notifies re-stocker of stock outages so that product can be replenished in picking locations.
  • Maintains cleanliness and assists in the organization of the warehouse (e.g. cuts away shrink wrap from pallets, gathers damaged materials, cleans up spills, stocks and fills storage racks).
  • This position involves handling, stocking, and organizing alcoholic products.
  • Works with inventory team to resolve any physical variance within VIP System. Help to count inventory when necessary. Verifies Production ranker report accuracy compared to VIP inventory report. Validates load verifications and make correction requests when necessary.
  • Receives all inbound deliveries per G&J established procedures. Knowledge of and trouble shooting skills of EasyOps receiving program. Ensures that proper paperwork is completed including trailer verification sheets, dates on products and any additional information used for traceability.
  • Helps manage technology/equipment used by loaders/pickers during the loading/stocking operations.

Education
High School or GED required
Experience
1 - 3 years of material handling experience in a warehouse environment required; previous food/beverage warehouse experience strongly preferred.
