UNT System Information Technology is a component of The University of North Texas System. Position Overview

Responsible for day to day access control and security support for enterprise applications including the ERP, PeopleSoft. Provides effort and leadership in the areas of security role development, maintenance, testing, documentation and production support. Helps coordinate activities with multiple institutions to meet compliance with established policies and procedures. Works under limited supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field and five years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Considerable knowledge of principles of computing and/or communications networks, and characteristics of computing hardware and software used in distributed environments.
* Ability to supervise and train subordinates.
* Ability to assimilate, retain and utilize technical and applications-oriented information.
* Must demonstrate Analytical/Critical Thinking.
* Customer Service including dispute resolution.
* Effective oral and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

* Worked with Peoplesoft Security (especially Campus Solutions)
* Used SQL to query databases
* Familiar with Texas regulations governing security role development

Required License/Registration/Certifications

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain, and enforce standards that support distributed security administration for enterprise applications. 
  • May plan and lead meetings of Access Control Executive (ACEs) user groups. 
  • Perform impact analysis of software updates/upgrades to security configuration and develop and administer plans to address identified changes. 
  • Plan, develop and deliver training curriculum on use of supported tools and applications. 
  • Develop and document procedures and practices that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of security administration. 
  • Assist Team Lead in the daily activities of the team by doing supervisory and project management work as assigned. 
  • Assist Team Lead in the communication and coordination needed with team leads or technical areas, business leadership, business analysts, and Project Managers to ensure and support appropriate security processes, procedures and configurations are deployed across the enterprise. 
  • Responds to service requests for access control and production control services. 
  • Provide 2nd tier support for enterprise application security and access control incidents.
  • Work with business areas to define requirements; plan, configure and document ERP access control across multiple applications and institutions.
