Job description

Summary/Objective
The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe secure and pleasant environment for the dealership employees and customers in accordance with company policies.
Essential Functions
  • Enforces rules and regulations to provide a safe environment for employees, customers, and vendors in accordance with company policies
  • Enforce no-smoking policies
  • Enforces employee parking policies
  • Arranges for the removal of vehicles that are illegally parked or have been abandoned on dealership property
  • Ensure that there are all individuals company premises have legal right to be there
  • Assists in the removal of individuals as required.
  • Investigate any wrong doings such as theft, misconduct and vandalism at the direction of Supervisor and involves local authorities in accordance with local, state and federal regulations and company policies
  • Responsible for complex keys
  • Patrol, document, report and follow-up on safety and security hazards or infractions
  • Reports all hazards and incidents promptly to management.
  • Serve as first responder for any security issues
  • Respond to any Emergency Responses situation on dealership premises
  • Coordinate hours and coverage of security staff through security vendor
  • Serve as back-up to safety coordinator for facility
  • Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer and in accordance with company policies
  • Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to working with hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management immediately
  • Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards
  • Follows the Company Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
  • Understands and follow all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from Supervisors
  • Upholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
  • Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with company policy
  • Attends pertinent training on request
  • Attends company meetings as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Environment/ Physical Demands
Will work both indoors and outside. Will be expected to patrol all areas of the dealership on foot and by vehicles In general. Workspace is covered but may involve various weather conditions such as heat and cold as well as safety hazards due to the nature of work. May experience loud noise on a regular basis.
Medium/Heavy Work-Will lift over 50 pounds with assistance device required and/or frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to or over 35 pounds with assistance device available as needed.
This position will require the employee to be walking and standing for prolonged periods of time
This position requires the ability to push, pull, climb, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp, and walk on a regular basis
This position requires the ability to talk and hear
Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment
May work in extreme heat or cold
Make encounter noise in work environment
May encounter hazards
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Work evening, weekend and holiday work hours as required.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or the equivalent and one to two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
High school diploma or the equivalent and two to four years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior security, military or police experience given preference.

Valid Driver's License
CPR- First Aid Certification
Completion of Defensive Driving Course
Concealed Weapon Permit
