Diesel Mechanic Truck Technician

Geis Peterbilt is looking for experienced Class 8 and Medium Duty truck technicians (Diesel Mechanic) who want a challenging career in the transportation industry. Mechanics must be capable of working on electronic engines (MX, Cummins, and CAT engines) internal and external. The tech must also possess the skills to perform preventive maintenance, DOT Annual inspections, general truck and trailer repairs, and everything in between.
Factory training available on specific systems and electronic diesel engines, CAT, Cummins, and MX Paccar. The technician must have a positive attitude, have strong communication skills, be able to multi-task, be able to work well with coworkers, have good computer skills, and strong desire to take care of customers.

  • Job Type: Full-time.
  • Salary: $30.00 - $48.00 per hour.
  • Shifts: 8hrs + overtime options.
  • Service Technician Referral Program - Earn up to $5,000.

Job Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform electronic engine diagnostics and repairs (MX, Cummins, CAT).
  • Perform diesel engine repair (MX, Cummins, CAT).
  • Perform accurate and complete vehicle inspections (DOT, PM).
  • Perform ABS diagnostics and repairs.
  • Perform HVAC diagnostics and repairs.
  • Perform electrical systems diagnostics and repairs.
  • Perform air brake diagnostics and repairs.
  • Perform wheel end repairs and adjustments.
  • Perform suspension and steering diagnostics and repairs.
  • Perform PM maintenance accurately and efficiently.
  • Responsible to adhere to all warranty policies and procedures.
  • Ability to use electronic technical manuals and resources for diag and repair.
  • Provide accurate documentation on repair orders.

The ideal candidate needs to be self-motivated and perform all tasks to the best of their ability. Candidate must be motivated to take advantage of all classroom and on-line OEM training made available.
Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
