Job description

Seeking a Senior Construction Defect Adjuster with deep expertise managing complex, multi-party construction defect claims, including sophisticated additional insured and contractual risk transfer issues. This role requires demonstrated capability in coverage analysis (additional insured endorsements, "other insurance," tender/defense and indemnity positions. The ideal candidate drives outcomes through strong investigation, coverage evaluations and risk transfer management.

Position Compensation Range:

$88,000.00 - $145,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities

Investigate high exposure construction claims by contacting the appropriate parties including insureds, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, other adjusters, etc.


Interprets and determines policies and contracts.


Handles Additional Insured claims under multiple policy types and numerous endorsements.

Strong negotiations skills when dealing with general contractor attorneys and adjusters.


Make independent decisions but recognize when assistance is needed.


Proactively provides all parties with claim process and status as appropriate; answers questions or redirects to other areas.


Serves as a mentor and subject matter expert for less experienced adjusters.


May be required to complete other assignments, job duties, or participate in projects based upon skills, achievements, or experience.


Participates in Large Loss committees

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

Demonstrated ability to handle Additional Insured tenders and evaluation across our operating territories.


Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively handle complex claims.


Extensive knowledge of policies and endorsements coverages.


Successfully applied knowledge of each phase of the claim handling process.

Licenses

Obtain state specifically all lines claim licensing as required.
