Job Description

Job Purpose: Work in our fast-paced investments and risk technology team with minimal oversight over the investments data warehouse.

Principal Responsibilities: Participate in all aspects of the system development life cycle with specific focus on the design, estimation, construction, and testing of both Service and ETL components. Take ownership of the full life cycle for the solution, from analysis and design through testing and delivery. Perform hands on development on medium to large data warehouses (15 to 25 Terabytes) using data modeling, dimensional data structures and complex hierarchies. Perform expert level ETL design, development, and performance tuning using Informatica PowerCenter & Java. Perform expert-level complex SQL coding/querying/tuning skills in SQL Server. Design and develop existing codebase and grasp the functionality, design, and refactoring opportunities of the code in Java. Design and develop solutions using service-oriented architecture. Use BI reporting tools to improve the team's implementation and development discipline.

Qualifications

    • 7 years- experience with Data Mart/Data Warehouse projects

  • 7 years- experience with ETL development

  • 5 years- experience designing and implementing ETL
    solutions with IBM DataStage in a Unix/Linux environment. This includes
    installation, configuration, and performance tuning

  • 4 years- experience with database programming in a large enterprise environment

  • 3 years- experienceย in source data analysis defining data granularity, data element mapping, data warehouse design and data aggregation

  • 3 years- experience with data conversions

  • 2 years- experience in data quality and data governance
