Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Software Engineer (DevOps) - AI - this is a hybrid role in San Francisco. Salary range: 150-220K USD base plus benefits plus equity.
We unite advanced research and exhaustive data analysis to evaluate the potential of Generative AI within your company. Our software then generates a dynamic and interactive roadmap, tailored to suit your organization's unique needs.

We are looking for a Software Engineer (DevOps) with a flexible range of experience, from a strong 2 years to mid/senior level, to join our team. We are seeking a hands-on engineer who loves infrastructure, automation, and high-leverage backend work. This individual will be our sole dedicated DevOps engineer, responsible for owning and evolving our deployment pipelines and helping to define what DevOps looks like at our company.


What will you be doing?

  • Own and evolve our CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth, fast, and reliable deployments across multiple AWS accounts.

  • Manage and optimize our AWS environment, including ECS Fargate, and potentially integrate with the AWS Marketplace.

  • Increase monitoring, logging, and visibility across our multi-tenant and single-tenant infrastructures.

  • Contribute to backend services and data engineering tasks, leveraging your Python coding experience.

  • Collaborate with a small engineering team to automate processes, balance deployment speed with reliability, and support a fast-paced startup environment.

Requirements:
3 - 7 years of experience in a DevOps role with a software engineering background (Mandatory)
Experience building DevOps infrastructure from the ground up (i.e., 0 to 1) (Mandatory)
Experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines (Mandatory)
Some experience in a fullstack software engineering background (NOT system admin) (Mandatory)
Experience in early-stage startups or smaller team environment (less than 20 people) (Nice-to-have)
A technical STEM degree (Nice-to-have)
Deep experience with AWS and cloud architecture (Mandatory)
Strong background in Python for building tools (Mandatory)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform (Mandatory)
Strong communications to work with client and cross-functional stakeholders (Mandatory)
