Job Summary:
Red Alpha is seeking a Junior Pega Software Engineer to work on innovation prototypes using the Pega Platform. The role involves understanding problems, creating prototype solutions, and documenting the development process while collaborating with users for feedback.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Review innovation problem statements to understand and contribute to prototype design
โ€ข Implement designs within the innovation environment
โ€ข Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and document test results
โ€ข Resolve software problem reports
โ€ข Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment
โ€ข Document designs, implementations, and test cases during the SLDC of the innovation prototype
โ€ข Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 1+ years experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
โ€ข Demonstrated Pega experience implementing applications and workflows within Pega Platform
โ€ข Strong writing and analytical skills
โ€ข Experience within an enterprise client's environment particularly in building and deploying applications, and development experience with deep COTS/FOSS integration exposure
โ€ข A penchant to think out of the box when devising solutions is a must
โ€ข Experience with: Linux; Docker; AWS; Pega Systems; SAP Hana; Eclipse Rich Client Platform; AngularJS / Jquery / BackboneJS (other JS frameworks); JavaScript build frameworks (npm, nodejs, gulp, etc.); RESTful Services
โ€ข Strong troubleshooting skills
โ€ข Demonstrated experience supporting the IC/DoD as a Software Engineer
โ€ข A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university OR 4+ years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be accepted in lieu of a degree
โ€ข Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph

โ€ข An innate desire to learn many different technologies and not go deep into any one would be best
