Peer Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate Peer Support Specialist to join our team at Mindset Mental Support. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will provide mutual support and guidance to individuals facing challenges, using your personal experience to offer emotional support, share resources, and facilitate recovery-oriented activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide peer support services to individuals facing mental health challenges, including crisis intervention and support

  • Share personal experiences and insights to promote understanding and empowerment

  • Connect individuals with community resources, services, and support systems

  • Facilitate recovery-oriented activities and groups, such as art therapy and social events

  • Maintain accurate records and reports of services provided

  • Collaborate with mental health professionals to ensure individualized support plans

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • PEER SUPPORT CERTIFICATE REQUIRED

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Empathy and compassion for individuals facing mental health challenges

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA regulations

  • Familiarity with community resources and services
