This position is intended for those who are gaining experience in Interventional Radiology or Invasive Cardiology or are experienced Imaging professionals who wish to begin a career in the discipline.**Essential Responsibilities:***Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities, with or without an accommodation, may result in disqualification from the position.** Assists Providers in performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures including but not limited to cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, angiography, device implantation, biopsies, thrombectomy, embolization and pain management.* Utilizes a variety of highly specialized radiologic equipment and techniques to perform a diverse range of diagnostic, interventional and/or invasive procedures in accordance with established scope of practice guidelines.* Ensures procedures are performed safely and with the highest quality standards, maintaining a consistent focus on patient‐centric care.* Assists in preparing patients for procedures and providing comfort.* Acts as a scrub tech while assisting Providers during procedures* Maintains a strict sterile field adhering to safety protocols.* Responds to inquiries from patients and family members, provides clear information regarding diagnostic testing and expected result timelines.* Collaborates with team members across OU Health including Providers to provide exceptional patient care.* Conducts post-testing quality reviews to confirm that all required elements are completed, documented and align with departmental and accreditation standards.* Transfers images and data to the appropriate electronic health system, enters technical data/findings and prepares study for reporting by physician.* Performs quality control checks, cleaning, disinfecting and other equipment maintenance tasks per manufacturer instructions for use and other regulatory guidelines.* Assists with quality assurance, audits and performance improvement tasks as requested.* Provides on-call clinical coverage outside regularly scheduled duty hours on weekdays, weekends and holidays as assigned.* May support OU Health's academic partnerships by actively engaging in teaching of students in the radiologic program.* May serve as a departmental preceptor to provide instruction and mentorship to new or less experienced team members. Assists with onboarding of new team members.**General Responsibilities:*** Performs other duties as assigned.**Minimum Qualifications:****Education:** A graduate of post-secondary educational program in a health science (includes, but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, or paramedic/EMT) as defined by ARRT or CCI.Completion of JRCERT accredited Military Educational Program is accepted in lieu of other educational requirements.**Experience:** No experience required.**License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required:** Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.ARRT(RT), RCES or RCIS certification required within 18 months of hire.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Demonstrates knowledge and skill in applying principles of medical imaging, positioning of patients and medical ethics.* Applies core knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology associated with specialty imaging procedures* Demonstrates ability and skill to apply theory, practices and techniques to perform, post-process, analyze and annotate study data or procedure documentation.* Applies knowledge of sterile fields consistently ensuring a safe environment for the patient* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and patient populations served* Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply HIPAA guidelines and standards.* Ability to prioritize and complete clinical or non-clinical work assignments* Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations* Ability to work as part of a diverse team and communicate effectively with others.* Displays consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled.* Ability to be sensitive to patients’ physical and psychological needs.* Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
