Job description

Children's Hospital of Michigan, a nationally ranked institution and the largest children's hospital in Michigan, is seeking a full-time Pediatric Rheumatologist. This employed position offers an 80/20 clinical-to-academic split, allowing for tailored research and teaching interests within a collaborative and academically engaged team. The role provides robust infrastructure, including an infusion center, dedicated research support, and active multicenter clinical trials, as part of the Detroit Medical Center.

Practice Info

  • Join a team of two full-time Pediatric Rheumatologists, a full-time Peds Rheum NP, and a half-time Immunologist.
  • Four clinics per week (4-hour blocks); outpatient services span CHM's Pediatric Specialty Center and three satellite locations across the Detroit metro area.
  • Full panel of autoimmune conditions including JIA, lupus, dermatomyositis, vasculitis, scleroderma, periodic fever syndromes, and Behçet's disease.
  • On-site infusion center for IVIG and monoclonal antibody therapy.
  • Multidisciplinary vasculitis clinic in collaboration with Pediatric Nephrology.
  • Cross-institutional collaboration with adult rheumatology at DMC Harper University Hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Pediatric Rheumatology inpatient consult coverage 10 days per month.
  • Participate in beeper-based call, limited to Pediatric Rheumatology only, 10 days per month.
  • Engage in teaching, research, and administrative activities with protected time.
  • Actively participate in multicenter research.
