Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity

HCA Florida Palms West Peds ED is seeking Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) Physicians for our newly remodeled 10-Bed wing Peds ED (separate from adult located in Loxahatchee, FL, in the greater West Palm Beach area. Pediatric ED Features:

  • 54,000 annual patient visits (36,000 Main ED; 18,000 Peds ED).
  • Palms West Children's Hospital features a newly remodeled 10-bed pediatric ED (23 bed newly remodeled and expanded Adult ED).
  • Physician Shifts: 6a-6p, 6p-6a with 12 hours of APP coverage 10a-10p.
  • Residents from three different HCA EM Residencies rotate through dept and 1 in-house Pediatric Residency Program also trains in Peds ED dept.
  • Admit rate is 10%.
  • Accredited NICU (24/7 PICU and NICU).

Applicants must have successfully completed at least 5 moderate sedation cases in the last 12 months without complication. Qualified candidates must be BC/BE Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians (having completed a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or done a Peds EM Residency) with current ACLS and PALS.
