Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic dental assistant with a strong work ethic, excellent communication and patient care skills to join our amazing team! Dental assistants should be well organized with great attention to detail.  Prior experience is preferred. Candidates must hold an active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the state of Tennessee and possess current certifications in radiology, nitrous oxide monitoring, and coronal polishing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the dentist during generalized pediatric dental procedures, including general anesthesia.

  • Clean the patient’s teeth.

  • Take, expose and develop digital radiographs (bitewings, panoramic, etc.).

  • Provide hygiene and diet education.

  • Take impressions.

  • Set-up and tear down dental chairs and operatory rooms.

  • Parents consults-discuss treatment plans.

  • Clean and sterilize instruments.

  • Lab work.

  • Restock supplies in rooms and sterilization area.

  • Infection control & maintenance of OSHA guidelines.

  • Write letters to be sent to referrals.
