Job description

Facility is seeking a Board-Certified Pediatric Radiologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. This role supports scheduled coverage needs in a high-volume pediatric inpatient setting, with a combination of evening shifts and overnight call responsibilities.

Assignment Details
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Ongoing (1 week per month preferred)
  • Schedule Preference:
    • Ideally Monday–Sunday coverage
    • Flexibility for Thursday–Sunday blocks
  • Shift Expectations:
    • Mon–Fri: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (onsite)
    • Weekday Call: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
    • Sat–Sun: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (onsite)
    • Weekend Call: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
  • Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call
  • Practice Setting: Inpatient
  • EMR System: Transitioning to Sectra (from January)
  • Patient Volume: Approx. 60 studies per shift
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Interpret:
    • X-rays
    • Ultrasound
    • STAT CT and MRI
  • Perform/assist with fluoroscopy (on-site presence required)
  • Manage assigned inpatient cases and admissions
Requirements
  • Board Certification: Required (Radiology)
  • Specialty Requirement: Pediatric Radiology
  • Subspecialty Qualification:
    • Pediatric Radiology Fellowship training required
    • CAQ (Certificate of Added Qualification) in Pediatric Radiology required or eligible
  • Licensure: Active Michigan license or IMLC eligibility
  • Certifications Required:
    • BLS

  • Teaching environment – resident supervision required
  • No supervision of advanced practice providers
