Job description

Create videos for the Piedmont Environmental Council to support our mission of protecting the lands and waters of the Virginia Piedmont while creating stronger, more sustainable communities!

We're looking for volunteer videographers to support our communications team by attending and recording outreach events and public meetings and recording b roll of landscapes and land use issues.

Footage will be used by PEC staff to develop informational and storytelling videos for PEC's social media channels and website.

Prior experience required, intermediate to advanced skill level and experience recording events/presentations preferred. If you're comfortable taking photos as well, that's a bonus! This volunteer will need to use their own video equipment. Dedicated video or mirrorless cameras are preferred, but smart phones can work in a pinch as well. Video editing can be done by or in conjunction with PEC staff.

Time commitment: dependent on your availability.

Location: Shoots would fall within PEC's 9-county region (Albemarle, Clarke, Culpeper, Fauquier, Greene, Loudoun, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock). Opportunities will be offered based on the volunteer's preference and availability to travel. Volunteers will need their own reliable transportation, but PEC will provide mileage reimbursements for travel.
