Job Summary
Peach State Restoration is seeking a dependable Mitigation Technician to assist with emergency property damage restoration. Technicians respond to residential and commercial losses caused by water, fire, storm, and mold damage and perform mitigation services to stabilize the property and prevent further damage.
This position involves hands-on work including water extraction, demolition of damaged materials, structural drying, and jobsite cleanup. Mitigation Technicians work with specialized drying equipment and assist project managers in preparing properties for reconstruction.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to water, fire, and storm damage mitigation jobs
- Extract standing water using professional equipment
- Set up drying equipment including air movers and dehumidifiers
- Perform demolition of damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation
- Take and record moisture readings and drying progress
- Clean and prepare structures for restoration repairs
- Maintain organized, safe, and professional jobsites
- Load, unload, and maintain restoration equipment and vehicles
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members
- Follow safety procedures and industry standards
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor and lift equipment
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Strong work ethic and dependability
- Ability to work occasional after-hours emergency calls
Preferred but not required
- IICRC certification (WRT, ASD, etc.)
- Construction, restoration, or demolition experience
