The Institute for Engagement, Mission & Impact is currently accepting applications for a Director of Global Studies and International Students/PDSO.ย 


This position provides leadership for the College's global education efforts, with primary responsibility for international student services and study abroad programming. The Director oversees international student compliance, onboarding, retention, and success while also leading the development, administration, and assessment of study abroad and other global learning opportunities. Serving as the Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) and Responsible Officer (RO), the Director ensures compliance with federal regulations and institutional policies related to international students. The role advances the College's commitment to global learning and intercultural engagement through student support, campus collaboration, and strengthening international education opportunities. This position reports to the Senior Director of the Institute for Engagement, Mission & Impact.


This position has two primary purposes:


International Student Services and Compliance


Manage and promote international student compliance, onboarding, retention, and support. The Director serves as the institution's Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) and Responsible Officer (RO) and ensures compliance with all applicable federal regulations, institutional policies, and procedures related to international student programs. Responsibilities include advising and mentoring students; developing and facilitating student support programming; collaborating with faculty and campus partners to support student success; and maintaining high-quality services and resources for international students.


Study Abroad and Global Learning


Manage all study abroad and global learning programs, including student recruitment, advising, program administration, and ongoing program review. The Director follows best practices as identified by industry standards and maintains quality programming and relationships with third-party providers and campus stakeholders. The Director regularly evaluates study abroad opportunities for academic alignment, student support, and health and safety, and makes recommendations regarding future programs and the College's overall study abroad model.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree is required plus 2-5 years of experience with global studies programs and/or international students.ย ย 

Masters degree preferred.ย ย 

Current PDSO designation and/or PDSO experience highly preferred.
