Job Requirements
- 2+ years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience required
- BSN required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania or compact eligibility, as applicable
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work in a high-acuity acute care and step-down environment
- Strong cardiac, telemetry, and progressive care nursing skills preferred
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient assessment skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to individuals requiring progressive care, step-down monitoring, and treatment
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and changes in patient condition, escalating concerns as appropriate
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with provider orders and clinical standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, effective, and compassionate patient care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge needs
- Maintain compliance with unit protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
